A Comprehensive Lineup
Jeep added two new trim levels for the Wrangler. The Rubicon X offers new technology and extraordinary off-road abilities. It is available with a gas engine or with the 4xe hybrid configuration. It has GPS navigation, 12-way seats, an Alpine audio system with nine speakers, and Nappa leather seats. A Rock-Trac full-time transfer case, an off-road camera, a steel bumper, a body-color hardtop, and fender flares are also included.The other new trim level is the Jeep Wrangler Sport S 4xe. It is a more affordable version of our popular plug-in hybrid. It houses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. The combination generates 470 lb.-ft of torque and 375 horsepower. The 17-kWh battery provides an electric-only range of 21 miles.The 2024 Jeep Wrangler lineup also comprises the Sport, Willys, High Altitude, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon 392 trims. The gas-powered engines include:A 2.0-liter turbo that produces 295 lb.-ft of torque and 270 horsepower.A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that produces 260 lb.-ft of torque and 285 horsepower.A 6.4-liter V8 that produces 470 lb.-ft of torque and 470 horsepower.Â
Geared for Off-Roading
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has four skid plates covering the fuel tank, transfer case, and transmission oil pan. There is a coil spring suspension with five links. The Rubicon models boast a gear ratio of up to 100:1, an 8,000-pound towing capacity, a factory-installed Warn winch, a solid rear axle, and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
New Technologies
With the release of Trails Offroad (late availability), the Wrangler will become the first Jeep model to offer integrated off-road adventure path guides. This feature rates trails and the difficulty. The infotainment system allows users to connect two devices simultaneously and generate up to five user profiles. Other features include a wireless 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and TomTom navigation.
